Hi all. Everyone has that special someone who keeps them motivated to write (and/or just face the day in general!) Janet Evanovich has a parrot in her office. As for me, I have cleverly trained my dog to get up at the crack 'o early with me to keep me company while I pound on those keys. This is a great idea because when I oversleep she comes trotting over to awaken me by shoving her cold nose on the back of my neck. There is a flaw in the system, however. I didn't really think about the fact that dogs have no sense of week days vs. weekends so if I attempt to sleep in on those occasional Saturdays, my buddy Nala will wake me up at the appointed 5 a.m. hour anyway. Such motivation! What person and or critter keeps you motivated to write? Dana

Awwww...what a cute doggie! We have cats that do the same thing -- wake us up at an ungodly hour!
